Érik Bordeleau

Érik Bordeleau ist Philosoph und Kulturtheoretiker aus Montreal, Kanada. Seine Arbeit situiert sich an der Schnittstelle von politischer Philosophie, Medien- und Finanztheorie sowie zeitgenössischer Kunst und Cinema Studies. Er ist gegenwärtig tätig als assoziierter Forscher am Art, Business and Culture Center der Stockholm School of Economics. Zuletzt hat er für die School of Disobedience (Berlin) Seminare in kritischer Kryptoökonomie unterrichtet sowie in Zusammenarbeit mit dem TERA Institute an der Einrichtung einer Forschungsgruppe zum Feld der Differential Ecologies mitgearbeitet. Er ist Autor von Foucault anonymat (Le Quartanier, 2012) und hat zahlreiche Aufsätze veröffentlicht, von denen etliche in verschiedene Sprachen übersetzt wurden. In Kooperation mit Saloranta & De Vylder entwickelt er The Sphere, eine Web-3.0-Community-Plattform zur Selbstorganisation im Rahmen der Performing Arts. Er lebt in Berlin und erfreut sich – von Zeit zu Zeit – des diskreten Charmes des Prekariats.

Erik Bordeleau is a philosopher and cultural theorist from Montreal, Canada. His work articulates at the intersection of political philosophy, media and financial theory, contemporary art and cinema studies. He is currently affiliated researcher at the Art, Business and Culture Center of Stockholm School of Economics. He has recently taught a series of seminars in critical cryptoeconomics at the School of Disobedience (Berlin) and with TERA Institute, he is co-developing a study group around Differential Ecologies. He is the author of Foucault anonymat (Le Quartanier, 2012) and has published a variety of articles translated in different languages. In collaboration with Saloranta & De Vylder, he is developing The Sphere, a web 3.0 community platform for self-organisation in the performing arts. He is based in Berlin and enjoys, from time to time, the discreet charm of the precariat.
