Liza Bauer

Liza Bauer, M. A., studierte Anglistik in Marburg und Gießen und ist derzeit Doktorandin am International Graduate Centre for the Study of Culture an der Justus-Liebig-Universität Gießen; sie promoviert zum Thema »Livestock and Literature: The Cultural and Ethical Work of Farm Animal Narratives in Contemporary Worldmaking Fiction«. Außerdem bildet sie zusammen mit Dr. Katharina Ameli und Theresa Braun die Leitung der interdisziplinären Forschungssektion »Human-Animal Studies« des Gießener Graduiertenzentrums für Sozial-, Wirtschafts- und Rechtswissenschaften. / Liza Bauer, M. A., studied Anglophone Studies in Marburg and Gießen and is currently pursuing a PhD at the International Graduate Centre for the Study of Culture (JLU Gießen) under Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Ansgar Nünning; the working title of her dissertation is »Livestock and Literature: The Cultural and Ethical Work of Farm Animal Narratives in Anglophone (Science) Fiction«. She further functions as one of the speakers of the research group »Oikos – Ecology and the Study of Culture« as well as one of the heads of the research section »Human-Animal Studies« at the Graduate Centre for Social Sciences, Business, Economics and Law (GGS).
